Citizen Advisory Panel

In June, 2005 Quoddy Bay LNG issued a public request for volunteers to form a Citizens’ Advisory Panel. In short order, we had response from several individuals interested in becoming involved in the project by providing a voice from the community. The resulting panel of more than a dozen people represents an excellent cross-section of community members, including men and women from Pleasant Point, Perry, Eastport, Pembroke, Robbinston, and Baileyville.

The panel’s purpose is to provide input to Quoddy Bay LNG as we develop the safest, most reliable LNG import facility in nation. The panel meets about once a month to discuss project updates and or modifications, upcoming meetings and milestones. Most importantly, the meetings include input from these panelists including questions and concerns about our project.

The panel members also serve as ears and a voice throughout the community. Residents have appreciated having a friend or co-worker available to ask questions or get updates about the project. They have listened to concerns and have brought those concerns or questions to the meetings.

The following panel members invite you to contact them if you have any questions regarding the Quoddy Bay LNG project, or wish to have them give comments or questions to us in our regular meetings.
